Beginning Sign Language Class for Adults

| Have you ever wanted to learn to Sign? Now here's your chance! Every Wednesday morning from 11-1pm learn how to Fingerspell and read Fingerspelling, Colors, Numbers and Beginning Conversation through a variety of fun and engaging activities. Learn about the Culture of the Deaf and meet and learn to Sign with them. The classes will be in the Kenosha's Yacht Club's Lighthouse Bistro. When raining or cool we will meet upstairs in the Bistrol over looking the lake. If, warm class meets outside on the Harbor over looking the lake. Cost of classes are $80 for 6 two hour classes. WiiFun - For Ages 8-12

Come join the Wii fun! Learn to play the Wii or practice your skills on a wide variety of games including Mario Kart, Wii Sports, and Guitar Hero World Tour for Wii. Hang out and play board games or bring your DS and hook up with other players while you wait. You can also contribute to our Wii-zine – share tips, review your favorite game, and tell us everything you love about the Wii! |

Jelena Berenc : Marking a Life conceptual art exhibit

| The University of Wisconsin – Parkside is pleased to announce the “Jelena Berenc: marking a life” conceptual art exhibit on display from October 26th through November 24th.
Jelena Berenc received her MFA in Painting and Drawing from the Art Institute of Chicago. She describes her current portfolio as a study and documentation of existence. “My artwork is based on durational, repetitional, excessive and endurance drawings. This somewhat compulsive obsessiveness of excessive drawing of quantities or gestures becomes a document of time and the drawing’s creation; it becomes a document of experience itself.”

Veterans Day Flag Retirement Ceremony

| Hundreds of worn and tattered flags gathered through North Shore Bank's annual flag collection program will be honorably retired in a ceremony at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11. Veterans with Post 1865 will conduct the solemn flag-burning ceremony, in accordance with patriotic tradition. The Post's Veterans Day activities begin at noon. The public is invited to attend and enjoy a complimentary lunch, then take part in the flag retirement ceremony at 3 p.m. |
