Before making its ninth-straight appearance at the International Thespian Festival, Kenosha Unified delivers an encore performance of Disney’s “Freaky Friday” on June 22-23 at the Bradford High School Auditorium.

“Freaky Friday” was one of 11 shows throughout North America selected to appear June 25-30 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Kimball Theatre during the theater festival.

It will be Kenosha Unified’s 18th performance at the festival since it debuted with “Godspell” in 1999.

‘Freaky Friday’

Tickets: $12 for adults, $10 for senior citizens and $5 for students

Synopsis: Overworked mother Katherine (played by Natalie Lall) and her teenage daughter Ellie (Alexis Tyler) magically swap bodies for a day and realize what it means to be family and to experience each other’s lives firsthand.

The musical is based on the novel by Mary Rodgers and, most recently, the 2003 film starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. The musical is licensed by Music Theatre International. There was also a 1977 film version starring Barbara Harris and Jodie Foster.
