The feel-good story of little orphan Annie arrives next week at Harborside Academy. Here is a quick glimpse at the popular musical:

‘Annie Jr.’

What: Harborside Academy’s production of “Annie Jr.”

When: March 24-26

Where: Reuther Auditorium, 913 57th St.

Tickets: $8 ($5 for staff and students)

Synopsis: Based on the popular comic strip and adapted from the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, “Annie Jr.” is the story of an orphan determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan (played by Kayla Traxler). With equal measures of pluck and positivity, little orphan Annie (Hannah Wade) charms everyone’s hearts despite a next-to-nothing start in 1930s New York City.
