Bus fire ends I-94 trip
The driver of a Badger Coach Lines bus had to stop and evacuate passengers when a fire began in the vehicle’s engine compartment on Interstate 94 early today.
The shuttle, coming from Milwaukee, stopped in the 8200 block of the southbound lanes of the highway about 12:12 a.m., said Pleasant Prairie fire officials.
No one was hurt or affected by smoke. Passengers were taken to the nearby state travel center to wait for another bus to continue the route.
