WHOSE TAXES WENT UP -- OR DOWN -- THE MOST IN 2007?
This chart shows whose property taxes, on average, changed the most -- either as an increase or a decrease. The first
column is the municipality. The second column is the school attendance area. The third column is last year's tax on the
average home in that attendance area. The fourth column is this year's tax. The next two columns are the dollar and
percentage difference. The amounts include the state tax and lottery credits.
Percentage changes can be compared among taxing areas; dollar amounts cannot. To compare how much is paid in one
community compared to another community, see the Tax Hell & Heaven chart.
