Here is something I don’t understand about Packer fans. When Ryan Longwell, the best kicker in the league, left Green Bay and went to the Vikings, I don’t remember hearing any complaints. But when Brett Favre — an aging quarterback who was no longer wanted by Packer management —left, criticism began.

He was castigated, vilified, cursed, etc. It doesn’t make sense to me. I have a fairly large family and we get along fairly well. But in the last year, three subjects are taboo — religion, politics and Brett Favre.

I will always remember all the good things Brett Favre did for Green Bay and the excitement he brought to the Packer games.
