I read a VOP letter and could not believe it. I cannot believe someone had the audacity to write the lies that were projected in that letter. I have worked in several kennels and am employed at one called “Aloha Kennel.”

The sentence that was written that stated “I am not asking anyone to take my word for it” should not take any words that were written in that commentary seriously. The writer projects the kennel workers are a bunch of Michael Vicks who have their own little animal torture compounds going on. I detest and am insulted by such absent-minded, irresponsible comments and opinions written by someone who is seriously clueless of the greyhound kennel environment.

I, along with the owner of the kennel and the trainer John Sappington, invite any local or state officials to tour our kennel to see the condition and care we give to our racing dogs. We work continuously in conjunction with the track veterinarian Jennifer Barker and Harris Pet Hospital for the care of the dogs in our kennel. Kennels are regulated and inspected regularly.

We work with several greyhound adoption groups as all the kennels do to place retired racers. Wisconsin has a NO KILL policy for the uninformed minds like “Name withheld.”

It is unwise to take any opinion from any uniformed, opinionated person who is writing a bunch of things they think in their head as truths. We can and will prove the “Name withheld” person wrong in every word of their insulting commentary.
