Emmy Contest Ballot
September is just hours (48 of them) away, which means we might get some new episodes soon of our favorite TV shows, along with a bunch of new stuff that mostly won’t survive five weeks on the air.
But let’s focus on the positive here.
The fall TV season also brings with it the Emmy Awards. And where there’s an awards show, there’s a Kenosha News Contest.
That’s where you come in.
To show off your prognostication skills, take part in our annual Emmy contest. It’s easy. And it’s free. And this year, we’re even going online. To enter our contest on the Web, go to www.kenoshanews.com and click on “Polls/Contests” on the Home Page. Then click on the Emmy Contest and fill out the ballot.
(Here’s the online link: http://kenoshanews.upickem.net/upickem/contest/questions.asp?contestid=9572)
You can also enter the old-fashioned way, by sending in your ballot, printed right here for your convenience.

The Emmys are notoriously difficult to predict, and watching a lot of TV doesn’t seem to help. (Just ask my colleague, Dave Walter. He spends way too much time on his couch, rotting his brain cells with “NCIS” marathons, and still he has trouble with the Emmys. Look for Dave and I to “face off” with our own Emmy picks on the Sept. 20 Entertainment Page.)
Television’s Emmy Awards will air Sept. 20 on ABC, with host Neil Patrick Harris.
We need your entry — online or on a ballot — by noon Wednesday, Sept. 16.
The winner takes home a pile of TV DVDs and a Kenosha News beach towel. Second and third place winners will receive Kenosha News beach towels. And all three winners will receive a Kenosha News Gift Pack.
If there’s a tie, we’ll draw the winning name out of a hat.
Send your Emmy predictions (using our handy ballot here) to: Elizabeth Snyder, Kenosha News, 5800 Seventh Ave., Kenosha, WI., 53140. As always, you can bring your list in person to the newsroom, or send e-mail to: esnyder@kenoshanews.com. And don’t forget, you can enter online at www.kenoshanews.com.
