‘Tis the time of year for giving thanks and Thanksgiving meals.

Several locations in Kenosha County will be offering free holiday feasts Thursday. The only requirement for most sites is bringing your appetite.

— Savannah’s Cabin Cafe, 7623 Sheridan Road, will offer turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, gravy, Indian frybread, sweets, coffee, punch and water from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. or when the food runs out, said co-owner Shannon Adamczyk. The repast is on the house, but a donation jar will be available.

This is the third time the restaurant has offered the meal. “We just want to give back to the community,” she said.

— The First United Methodist Church, 919 60th St., continues with its complimentary dinner, including turkey, salads, mashed potatoes, gravy and pies, at noon in its Strom Hall. Those wishing to help with the meal should call the church at 262-658-3213.

— The Shalom Center, 1713 62nd St., which offers free meals year round to the public, will serve turkey, dressing, potatoes and other holiday fixings from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

— New Life Bible Church, 112 W. Main St., Twin Lakes, is serving turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and the other usual suspects to the public from noon to 2 p.m. Diners should call 262-877-9090 to reserve a space.
