Several people were recognized Thursday night at the fifth annual business awards presented by the Kenosha Area Business Alliance and Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce.

The presentation was at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Student Center Ballroom.

Those cited were:

n Business Person of the Year: Todd Bundies, of Badger Press Photographics, Inc. Bundies is the third-generation owner and president of the business, founded in 1938. n Community Service Award: Peter Valeri, with Valeri Agency, Inc. Valeri has supported the community by involvement in numerous groups, including the Boys & Girls Club, Kenosha Christmas Charities (Goodfellows), the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce and Kenosha Achievement Center. n KABA Volunteer of the Year: Patrick DeGrace, Hospira, Inc. DeGrace has been on the KABA board since 2005, participating in KABA programming and offering help to staff. DeGrace serves on KABA’s executive and nominating committees and was elected secretary in April 2008. n Chamber Volunteer of the Year: Melissa Rowley, of Platinum Systems, Inc. Rowley is an Ambassador of the Chamber and a member of Y-LinK, Kenosha’s new Young Professional Group. She has participated in Chamber committees and events, including the Kenosha EXPO and the Business to Business Expo. Rowley has helped the Chamber with its Business After 5, ribbon cuttings, grand openings and Member Orientation. n LMI Packaging Solutions, Inc. was selected as Business of the Year. The company provides heat seal lids for single-serve cups of yogurt, frosting, sauces and dressings. Founded in 1967, LMI relocated from Chicago to Pleasant Prairie in 1994.
