Rukstales’ car then was observed to cross the center line and sideswipe a westbound Ford Escort just east of 144th Avenue.
Rukstales’ Lumina then veered head-on into a westbound Ford F-450.
Rukstales had to be extricated from his car by fire and rescue personnel from Bristol and Paris. He was then taken by the Flight For Life helicopter to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for further treatment.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital after his arrival there

The driver of the truck suffered a minor foot injury and the Escort driver was not injured.
