Richard S. Pasterski, 59, of Kenosha, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at his home, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous five year battle with cancer.
Born in Kenosha on Nov. 22, 1951, he was the son of Stanley and Waleria (Dubaniewicz) Pasterski. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Tremper High School.
On Oct. 18, 1975, he was united in marriage to Mary "Vicki" Fredrickson at St. Mary Catholic Church.
For 35 years, Richard was employed by P&H Harnischfeger - Morris Material. A proud steelworker, he served as vice president for the local steelworkers union.
In his free time, Richard enjoyed playing guitar, gardening, fishing, deer hunting, coaching the Little League Firefighters and Jalenskys, and above all, spending time with his children. A member of St. Mary Catholic Church, he was also a proud member of AA. An avid Packers fan, Richard saw his dream realized when the Packers met his second favorite team, the Steelers, at Super Bowl XLV.
Surviving Richard are his beloved wife of 35 years, Vicki; his precious children, Erica and Daniel; his mother, Waleria Sawicki of Greendale, Wis.; his sister, Diane (Stanley) Kaczor of Hartford, Wis., and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Pasterski, in 1968, and his Aunt Sophie (Tom) Lonie.
A service in celebration of the life of Richard will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011, at 4 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of the service.
The Pasterski family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Malik Bandealy and staff, Dr. Patricio Ilada, and Dr. Harley Sobin for all the special care Richard received.

Matilde "Matt" DeLeon, Jr., 78, of Kenosha, died on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born in San Benito, TX on May 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Matilde and Tomasita (Pequeno) DeLeon.

Roger C. Meade, 74, of Kenosha, passed away at his residence on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
Patricia L. Rossow, 78, formerly of Kenosha, Wis., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Oct. 20, 2011.

Tammy M. Stollings, 48, of Slades Corners, Kenosha County passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, surrounded by her loving husband and family.
Jah'niya Jayonna Wright went home to be an angel on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2011.
She is the infant daughter of Tanika Cooks and John Wright.
