John “Frank” Francis Burke

1935 – 2011

John "Frank" Francis Burke, 75 of Twin Lakes, Wis., passed away June 22, 2011, at Highland Park Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1935, in Waukegan Ill. John belonged to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waukegan and to the Northbrook Sports Club. He worked as an Arborist with Synnestvedt and Assoc. for over 30 years until his retirement in 1997. Avid interests included National Ski Patrol for 35 years, trap shooting, sailing and an expert fisherman.

Survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon L. Burke; son, Michael (Dana) Burke and his children, Jack and William; and daughter, Victoria Burke and her children, Mercedes, Keverley, Tristan, and Kaylen; sisters, Anne Dams and Patricia Rieger; and brother, Thomas Burke. Preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church 824 N. Lewis Ave. Waukegan, IL at 10 a.m. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2011, at Marsh Funeral Home 305 Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Burial at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society 100 Tri-State International Ste. 125 Lincolnshire, IL 60069.
