Archie William Moore, 100, of Prudenville passed away Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011.
Archie was born on March 11, 1911, in Alton, Ill., to Archibald Virgil and Phoebe Christina (Beal) Moore. Archie worked in his father’s welding business, in a shoe factory, for the early A & P stores, then became a manager for the Nevin Food Store chain in Racine, Wis., where he also operated a gun shop. On June 16, 1932 Archie married Myrtle Caroline Arndt in Waukegan, Ill. Upon purchasing the Hub Supermarket at M-55 and M-18 Archie moved to Prudenville in October 1951.
Mr. Moore is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Gary) Akin of Prudenville; son, Jerre (Mona) Moore of Prudenville; six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, sister, Kathryn Derks of Wisconsin; Archie was preceded in death by his parents; former wife, Myrtle; brother, George; three sisters, Gladys, Helen, and Anita.
Memorial services for Mr. Archie William Moore will be conducted in November. Interment will be in Denton Twp. Cemetery, Prudenville.

Matilde "Matt" DeLeon, Jr., 78, of Kenosha, died on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at Aurora Medical Center.
Born in San Benito, TX on May 29, 1933, he was the son of the late Matilde and Tomasita (Pequeno) DeLeon.
