Robert James Girman

Robert James Girman, 77, of Locust Grove, Va., passed away Sunday Oct. 2, 2011, at his home.

He was born in Kenosha, Wis., and graduated from Bradford High School and Marquette University.

Bob was a U.S. Navy Captain and received the Bronze Star and other military honors.

His Navy career took him and his wife Betty to many different states and countries. The last move to Virginia was their 18th.

Bob is survived by his wife, Betty (Bokmueller); five daughters; nine grandchildren and one great-grand daughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William.

Bob is survived by his sister, Mary Bleshka; sister-in-laws, Jacqueline Bobusch, Nancy Girman and Nancy Plutchak; mother-in-law, Evelyn Bokmueller, along with many nieces and nephews.

Burial with Military Honors will be held at Arlington national Cemetery at a later date to be announced.
