Anita Mae Witscheber-Staral, 88, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, Oct. 18, with her family by her side.
Born in Kenosha on Nov. 3, 1922, the daughter of the late Frank E. and Etta (Learned) Witscheber. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, educated in local schools.
On Nov. 18, 1972, at Somers Community United Church of Christ, she married Frank Staral. She had been employed by Johnson Motors for 12 years and later for 16 years at American Motors Corp., retiring in 1982.
A lifelong member and longest member of Somers Community United Church of Christ, a member of Dusty Road Runners Camping Club and treasurer for five years. Anita enjoyed traveling with her husband, Frank.
Surviving are husband, Frank Staral; one daughter, Lynetta (Steve) Ingham of Kenosha; two stepsons, Raymond (Mary) Staral of Iola, Wis., Dennis (Diana) Staral of Powers Lake, Ill.; two grandchildren, Terra (Robert) Newhouse and Melissa (Nicholas) Ingham-Angel; one great grandchild, Jacob Newhouse; a niece, Mary (Ed Gabriel) Flegner; four nephews, Frank W. (Carol) Witscheber, Leonard (Diane) Witscheber, Paul (Gail) Witscheber and David Witscheber.
Preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Witscheber; a stepson, David Staral and her niece, Sandra Keller.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance for the loving care given to Anita.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Somers Community United Church of Christ at 11 a.m. Entombment to follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. until the time of the services at Somers Community United Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Somers Community United Church of Christ or Hospice Alliance.
