Arthur W. Wesinger

1923 – 2011

Arthur W. Wesinger, 88, of Bristol, Wis., passed away Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at St. Catherine's Medical Center Campus, Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

He was born July 21, 1923, in Chicago, Ill., the son of the late Carl and Emma (Zsivan) Wesinger, moving to Trevor, Wis., in 1954, and settled in Bristol in 1978. Arthur served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII in Italy, where after a mortar blast, he became permanently disabled. Arthur was a lifelong member of the Disabled American Veterans, was an accomplished watch maker, enjoyed fishing, and was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. On Dec. 7, 1946, he married Doris McDonald in Chicago, Ill., she preceded him in death on July 5, 2007.

Survivors include two children, Ronald Wesinger of Bristol, Wis., and Karen Ramage of Byron, Ill.; five grandchildren, Corey (Becky), Paul (Sandy), Tyler, Scott (Sandy) and Janelle (Stan Bush "Beans"); three great-grandchildren, Rianna, Jake, and Grace; son-in-law, James Ramage of Homestead, Fla.; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister Lillian Schnel, and two brothers, Emil and Carl Wesinger.

Funeral services and interment are private. Arrangements were entrusted to the Strang Funeral Home of Antioch.
