Steven Edward Krause

1961 – 2011

Steven Edward Krause, 50, of Kenosha, died unexpectedly from a massive heart attack on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011 at United Hospital System - St. Catherine's Campus.

A lifelong resident of Kenosha, he was born on March 16, 1961, and was the son of Robert and Marlene (Dainko) Krause. Steve attended Grant Elementary, Washington Jr. High and Mary D. Bradford High School.

He received his Bachelors Degree in English from U.W. - Parkside, and his Associate Degree in Broadcasting from Gateway Technical Institute.

At the time of his death, for 15 years, Steve was employed with Lakeview Farms.

He was a member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge #286.

His smile and kindness will be remembered by his loved ones and those who knew him. Always willing to lend a helping hand, Steve compassionately headed the radio show EARS, for the visually impaired. He was a collector of old movies, tapes and 33 rpm vinyl records. Many happy memories were made hanging out with his friends at Gateway Café.

Steve is survived by his parents, Marlene and Robert Krause; his uncle, Eugene (Jane) Krause of Ann Arbor, Mich.; six cousins; and his special friend, Liz Landree.

He was preceded in death by his aunt and uncle, Carol and Thomas Tabili.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th Street. Interment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
