Gladys Renick

1942 – 2011

Gladys Renick, 69, of Kenosha, died on Friday, Oct. 21, 2011 at Froedtert Memorial Hospital, Wauwatosa.

Born in Kenosha on March 1, 1942, she was the daughter of Stanley and Margaret (Marschner) Renick.

She was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School. Gladys received her Bachelors of Science Degree from U.W. Whitewater and her Masters Degree from Mt. Mary College in Wauwatosa.

Gladys was employed with Gateway Technical College and taught in their Office Systems Technology Department for many years, retiring in 1991.

She was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church. Among Gladys' many professional memberships are The OEA/Office Education Association, Gateway Committee for Relay of Life, National BPA/Business Professional Association where she received outstanding service awards and the WACTE/Wisconsin Association of Career and Technical Education.

Gladys is survived by her parents, Stanley and Margaret Renick; her siblings, James (Anita) Renick, Gary Renick and Gayle (Jeffrey) Sabitt; her nieces and nephews, Jimmy, Anne Marie, Scott, Steven, Mechele, Nicolle and Claire; and her great nephews, Tyler and Dyllan.

A Memorial Mass in celebration of Gladys' life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 7400 39th Avenue. A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home.
