Roland R. Krinker, 83, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011, at St. Joseph Home and Rehabilitation.
Roland was born on Sept. 26, 1928, to Reinhold and Martha (Wittke) Krinker in Chicago, Ill. In October 1949, Roland married Ann Evelyn Harrison in Chicago Ill., who preceded him in death in 1974. In June 1987, he married Marilyn Kay (Wilt) in Kenosha, Wis. Roland owned and operated Krinker's Hallmark Shop for 28 years. He was also a sales consultant for 17 years. He was a member of Lord of Life Lutheran Church and the Downtown Business Association.
Roland is survived by his wife Marilyn; six sons, Russell (Patricia) Krinker of Apple Valley, Calif., Richard Krinker of San Francisco, Calif., Randall Krinker of NM, Ronald Krinker of Skagway AK, Robert (Yoori) Krinker of Long Beach, Calif., and Rod Krinker of Kenosha, Wis. He is also survived by one step son, Douglas Noreen of Fort Drum NY and one step daughter Heather (James) Bonte of Spain; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is further survived by two sisters Dorothy Buchholz of Fox River Grove, Ill., and Nancy Althafer of Atlanta, Ga.
Roland was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Ann.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at 6:30 p.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Kenosha. (5601-Washington Avenue) Visitation with the family will take place on Thursday at the church from 4:30 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Lord of Life Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
