Roger C. Meade, 74, of Kenosha, passed away at his residence on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Spring Green, Wis., on July 24, 1937, he was the son of the late Milford and Dolah (Ashmore) Meade. He was a graduate of Boscobel High School.
On Dec. 10, 1960, at the United Church of Christ, Milwaukee, Wis., he was united in marriage to Joanne Rades. They moved to Kenosha in August, 1961 making it their new home.
Roger was a machine set up man with AMC/Chrysler Corporation, retiring after 43 years of service.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church. Roger also faithfully served as a member of the Washburn Lodge 145 F.&A.M., Tripoli Temple of Milwaukee, Scottish Rite Valley of Milwaukee, Kenosha Shrine Club, TRI County Shrine Club, Acadia Club, Bristol Chapter 164 Order of the Eastern Star, Faith Shrine #23, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem and Laurel Court #6 Order of Amaranth.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joanne, his two children, Robert (Karin) Meade of Paris and Kathleen Meade of West Allis, his two grandchildren, Sarah and Michael; his brother, Carlis (Barbara) Meade of CO and his sister, Elsie Mae (Norman) Meland of Oshkosh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Maynard Meade.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 4 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. and Masonic Lodge Services will follow at 7:30 p.m.
