William “Bill” Hansen, of Duluth, Minn., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at his home in Trevor, Wis.

William was born April 23, 1926, to Herbert and Victoria Hansen. On June 7, 1947, he married Dorothy.

William worked at Duluth Builders Supply in Duluth, Minn. William enjoyed watching sports on t.v., reading, skiing, gymnastics, and most of all spending time with his grandchildren. He was a longtime member of the Eagles Club, Owls Club and Lake Avenue Lousys.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Gary (Pam) Hansen, Gayle (James) Franke, Debbie (Ron) Cartensen, Robert Hansen; siblings, James, Auther and Thomas; grandchildren, Dawn and Shawn-Lynn, Dani, Jim and Kyle; great-grandchildren, Kayla, Lexis, Kylie, Landin, Livija, Leytin, Cole, Giani, Trinity, Emry and Gatlin.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty and Alice; brother, Richard; his parents and his dog, Mitsi.

Private services were held on Jan. 11, 2012, at 11 a.m.
