Celern Wade, 50, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Aurora Medical Center.

She was born on Oct. 15, 1961, to the late Willie and Clotee (Davis) Wade in Leland, Miss. She was educated in the schools of Zion, Ill.

Celern was a C.N.A. at Manor Care for five years.

Celern enjoyed playing the Wii and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Celern is survived by her loving children, Jerome Wade of Racine, Shameka (Timothy Carson) Wade of Kenosha, Mark McCray Jr. of Kenosha, Kenyon McCray of Kenosha, Markia McCray of Kenosha, Delerece (Terry) Walters of Kenosha, Quinton McCray of Kenosha, Jonathon McCray of Kenosha, Eric McCray of Minnesota, Jalicia McCray of Indiana and Samantha Parks of Kenosha; her siblings, Harold (Marcal) Smith of Kenosha, Marvin (Kathy) Wade of Waukegan, Gregory Wade of Waukegan, Veronica Wade of Park City, Ill., and Jeffrey Wade of Kenosha; a special cousin, Delores King of Zion, Ill.; her companion, Mark McCray Sr.; 22 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Allen Davis.

Home Going Services for Celern will be held on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m at the New Brighter Day Baptist Church (1225 - 24th Ave.). Visitation will be held on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
