Joseph Piasecki, 82, of Kenosha died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on March 13, 1929, in Ironwood, Mich., the son of the late Mary (Kemp) Piasecki. He married Carol Belanger on Sept. 6, 1969, in Kenosha. He worked as a truck driver for American Motors. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in the Military Police. He loved to spend time working in his yard, playing cards and was a good father, devoted husband and most proud of his military accomplishments. My darling husband is now with his heavenly father and is no longer suffering.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; four children, Cathy (Bob) Meiers, Dave (Laurie) Piasecki, Steve (Maggie) Piasecki, Dave McBride; three grandchildren, Casey, Michael, Bryan; three great-great granddaughters and a nephew, John Saippa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ed Piasecki.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers memorials for the family would be appreciated.
