Robert Q. Solita, 65, of Racine, died on March 10, 2012.
He was born in Chicago Heights, Ill., on Oct. 30, 1946, the son of John and Evelyn (nee Anderson) Solita. He graduated from Blackburn College in 1970 and taught mathematics in Orland Park, Ill., for 13 years. In 1984, he joined the United States Postal Service, where he served as a rural letter carrier for more than 20 years in Peotone, Ill.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Wang Di "Alina" Gong of Racine; his sons, Erik (Angelika) Solita of Kenosha, Michael Solita of Brooklyn, NY, and Jonathan Solita of Chicago; his stepdaughter Yi "Kitty" (Bo) Zhang; his grandchildren Hunter and Xin-yan; and close friends and relatives.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 16, 2012 at the Proko Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until time of service at 8 p.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at St. George Cemetery on Saturday at 10 a.m. for the committal service.

Robert was a man of tremendous curiosity, candor and kindness.
