Martha L. Pulera
1925 - 2009

Martha L. Pulera, 84, of Silver Lake, Wis., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.

The former Martha L. Finch was born in Silver Lake, Wis., on Sept. 14, 1925, the daughter of the late Francis and Bessie (Selby) Finch. She graduated from East Troy High School in East Troy, Wis., in 1943. On July 4, 1946, in Kenosha, Wis., she was united in marriage to Joseph Pulera; he preceded her in death on Aug. 25, 1979.

She was member of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in New Munster, Wis.

Martha is survived by three children, Denise (Terry) Kimberlin of Kenosha, Wis., Ronald (Kathryn) Pulera of Silver Lake, Wis., and Debra Pulera also of Silver Lake, Wis.; a stepson Raymond Pulera of Tennessee; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Marion Sonnichsen of Wilmot, Wis.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Donald Pulera; four brothers, Orrin, Byron, Walter and Francis; and a sister, Georgiana.

Services will be Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Haase-Derrick-Lockwood Funeral Home, 620 Legion Dr., Twin Lakes, Wis. Father Tony Russo will officiate. Burial will follow in Saint George Cemetery in Kenosha, Wis. The Pulera family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials are requested in Martha's name to: Hospice House, 10220 Prairie Ridge Blvd, Pleasant Prairie, WI 53158.
