Feliksa Lechusz
1924 -- 2009

Feliksa Lechusz, a resident of Greenfield, Wis., passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee, at the age of 84.

Feliksa (Fela) was born in Poland Dec. 5, 1924. As a young girl she was taken away from her home to the forced labor camps in Germany. It was at one of these camps that she met her husband Aleksander. They married on July 9, 1945. Together with their first born, Jadwiga they left Germany seeking a better life. They eventually settled in Milwaukee and were blessed with a son, Richard and another daughter, Kristina. Feliksa was a member of St. Roman Catholic Church and was an avid supporter of the Polonia Sport Club of Franklin.

Feliksa is survived by her son, Richard (Carol) Lechusz and daughters, Jadwiga (Andrzej) Kubicki and Kristina (Richard) Guziewicz. She is also survived by grandchildren, Adam (Jill) Kubicki, Karolyn (Tom) Hermes, Jacob (Wendy), Jared, Joshua and James Lechusz and Ryan Guziewicz and great grandchildren Andrew and Sophie Kubicki-Hermes and Joseph Kubicki. Feliksa was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Aleksander.

Funeral Saturday, Nov. 7, at 9:30 a.m. from the Rozga Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of St. Josaphat, 601 W. Lincoln Ave, Milwaukee followed by Interment at St. Adalbert Cemetery, Milwaukee. Visitation Fri., Nov. 6 at the Rozga Funeral Home from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. with Vigil Services at 6 p.m.
