William F. “Bill” Harris
1947 -- 2009

William F. "Bill" Harris, 62, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 at Kenosha Hospital.

He was born on March 12, 1947, to the late Alfred J. and Florence A. (Lane) Harris in Laona, Wis. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School.

On Oct. 13, 1973, he married Jennifer Butler in Waukegan.

Bill worked as a machine operator for J.I. Case for 33 years, retiring in 1999.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #286.

Bill enjoyed golfing, loved bowling and was the founder of the Junior Adult Scholarship Tournament. He bowled in many leagues for many years. He was a member of the KBA for 15 years and was inducted to the Kenosha Bowling Hall of Fame in 2004.

Bill is survived by his wife, Jennifer; his children, Randy (Heidi) Harris of Spokane, Wash., Tammy (Sean) Pankonie of Pleasant Prairie and Billy Harris of Kenosha; his sister, Janice (Dennis) Sucharda of Wheatland, Wis.; and his three grandchildren, Garrett, Brandon and Andrew Stevens.

He is preceded in death by his brother Eugene "John" Harris.

Funeral services for Bill will be held on Monday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Monday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
