Robert P. “Bob” Scruggs
1948 -- 2009

Robert P. "Bob" Scruggs, 61, of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009.

Born on May 26, 1948, in Kenosha, he was the son of Hugh and Marion (Cox) Scruggs.

A lifelong resident of Kenosha, Bob attended Grant Elementary School, Lance Jr. High School, Mary D. Bradford High School and was a graduate of George N. Tremper High School. He furthered his education by attending UW-Parkside and the courses needed to complete his electrical journeyman apprenticeship.

Bob proudly served in the U.S. Army from May 24, 1968, until his honorable discharge on May 14, 1970.

On June 21, 1969, at St. George Catholic Church, he was married to Jeanne Parisea. They were blessed with two incredible children, Joseph and Elaine.

For 40 years, Bob was an electrician, working 35 years with Magaw Electric.

He was a lifelong member of Kenosha Bible Church, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local #127, and The Kenosha Car Club.

Bob leaves behind many happy memories. He was a car enthusiast and over the years he spent countless hours restoring numerous Chevys. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was delighted in spending time with his family, especially his grandson and was looking forward to the arrival of Elaine and Joel's new addition.

He is survived by his parents, Marion and Hugh Scruggs; his wife, Jeanne Scruggs; his two children, Joseph (Colleen) Scruggs of Kenosha and Elaine (Joel) Bress of Marietta, Ga.; his adorable grandson, Thomas Scruggs; his brother, Edward (Ginny) Scruggs of Atlanta, Ga.; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Kenosha Bible Church, 5405 67th Street. Private inurnment will be held in All Saints Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday, from 12 Noon until the time of the service at the church.
