Laura Grace Singleton, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Brookside Care Center with her daughter and granddaughters by her side.
Born Dec. 2, 1921, in Cottonwood, Ala., Laura was the daughter of the late Calton and Cora Sellers. Laura resided in Mobile, Alabama with her husband, Mark, until his passing in 1998, at which time she relocated to Kenosha.
Laura is survived by her only child, Jan (Mike) Marchuk; and granddaughters, Bailey and Taylor Balog.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010, from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Mobile, Ala.
Laura's devotion to animals was strongly shared by her daughter and granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Fellow Mortals Wildlife Hospital, Lake Geneva, Wis., would be appreciated by her family.
Laura's family would like to extend their special thanks and gratitude to the staff of Brookside Care Center, all Laura's "Minnies", and Hospice Alliance for their kindness and thoughtful care.
