Angela Stansbury

1948 - 2008

Angela Stansbury (nee Valeri), 60, of Clayton, Wis., formerly of Hudson and Kenosha, died due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008.

She was born the daughter of Peter and Olga (Cesari) Valeri on Jan. 15, 1948, in Kenosha, Wis. On Nov. 8, 1969, she was united in marriage to John Stansbury. They would be blessed with two children, Joseph and Julie Ann.

Angela had been the deli manager at County Market, a manager at Taco John’s in Hudson and Pizza Hut in Hudson, the owner of Making Waves beauty salon in Amery, and a realtor in the Amery/Clayton area. After retiring, she and John enjoyed traveling throughout the southern U.S. in their motor home. Angela was an avid gardener of flowers and produce – which she would can. She loved to bake and was known for her Italian foods.

Angela will remain in the hearts of her husband of 39 years, John; son, Joseph Stansbury of New Richmond; grandchildren, Tyler Huston and Lainie Ann Porter-Stansbury; brother, Peter (Nancy) Valeri; sister, Antoinette Stout; sister-in-law, Pat Valeri; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Ann Stansbury; parents; brother, Clyde Valeri and sister, Lillian Valeri.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1500 Vine St., Hudson.Interment will follow in the St. Patrick’s Parrish Cemetery. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at church, and on Sunday, Dec. 28, from 2 until 6 p.m. at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home. As an expression of sympathy, memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
