Bonnie “Angel” Gascoigne

1939 -- 2009

Bonnie (Angel) Gascoigne, (Simons, Barnes) 69, passed away in comfort at Hinsdale Hospital on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, of a long term illness.

Bonnie was born in Kenosha, Wis., on April 4, 1939, Involved in the Roller Derby and Drag Racing when she was younger, Employed and retired from AMC/Chrysler in the 80's and, She was a die hard Chicago Bears Fan, who appreciated life, laughter, family and friends.Her generosity and genuine concern for others, combined with her unique sense of humor made those who knew her love her even more.

She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Helminger of Kenosha; two sons, Budd (Janet) Simons of Hinsdale, Ill., and Wally Gascoigne of Kenosha.Always proud of her eight wonderful grandchildren, Sara, Dylan, Samantha Helminger, Johnny Angel Smith,Ruben, Joshua and David Simons, and Katie Gascoigne. Beloved sister, Harriet (Carl) Widmar of Friendship, Wis., and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Helen Barnes; and her husband, Bruce Gascoigne on Dec. 21, 2008.

Visitation will be at Kenosha Funeral Services on Sunday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. with a memorial service to follow at 3 p.m. The family wishes that those who have pictures, stories and memoriescome and share in the celebration of Bonnie's life.
