1984 - 2009

Colin M. Byars, 24, of Pleasant Prairie, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, Wis.

He was born on May 11, 1984, in Lansing, Mich., the son of Paul and Danelle (Telfor) Byars.He was educated at Whittier Elementary School, Lance Middle School, Tremper High School and U. W. Parkside.He was employed by Kenosha Unified Schools as a special education teacher at McKinley Middle School.He was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.His hobbies were playing hockey and Texas-holdem, and enjoyed all sports with his family and friends.Colin was a loving son, brother, and friend who was loved by all who knew him, his infectious personality and sense of humor brought joy and happiness to all.He enjoyed life.

Survivors include his father, Paul (Wasan) Byars of Kenosha; his mother, Danelle (Robert) Eckert of Pleasant Prairie; two brothers, Bryan and Nicolas Byars of Pleasant Prairie; one sister, Stephanie (David) Balmiz of Hinesville, Ga.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, from 4 to 9 p.m. at Kenosha Funeral Service.A funeral service will be Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at 10 a.m. from Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, 5927 - 37th Ave.In lieu of flowers memorials for the family would be appreciated.
