Stop blaming the previous president

I am writing this letter to call out Mr. Marvin Martin on his ludicrous assumption that anyone who disagrees with President Obama’s programs is a racist.

For the past several years, on an almost monthly basis, Mr. Martin called former President Bush lots of not nice names and made repeated lists of what he thought were his failures. There was never any mention that many of Mr. Martin’s half truths were inappropriate. It has always been the blame game for Mr. Martin, never anything constructive. Now that some of Obama’s programs are in trouble it is the conservatives’ fault.

Why not write a letter telling us why you support Obama’s health care reform in which those writing it won’t have to be a part of? How about a letter defending the stimulus package that was to keep unemployment from rising to more than 8.5 percent? How about a letter that explains how Cap and Trade is really a tax on energy that is going to take most of the discretionary income I have and will do little or nothing to save the environment? Maybe someone could write a letter about the support we are not getting from other countries to fight the war in Afghanistan that President Obama said was the right war.

Hope and change are easier said than done and I am looking every day for evidence that something President Obama promised has come to fruition. Then, maybe that is another letter someone could write. Mr. Martin got the president he wanted, now he should quit blaming others for what he is or isn’t doing.
