I would like to say congratulations to the Mahone Middle School Mustangs. They had a great football season, going undefeated. It is the first time any middle school football team has held an undefeated record.

My hat goes off to all the players who put their hearts into practices and played hard. They showed great spirit and sportsmanship. The coaching staff who really taught the team what discpline, hard work and goals are all about. Our coaches really care about each player as individuals.

It’s such a shame that middle school sports don’t get as much attention as high school. These kids work just as hard, have just as much heart, make some really great plays and are just as talented as the high school sports teams.
