Now is the time for change. I am sure that many county residents are aware of various problems stemming from “lack of money.” So, many good programs are being dropped including teachers. These problems could start being solved if consolidation of all 12 schools would become Western Kenosha Unified.
Check out how many of these K-8 schools have only 200 students enrolled. Please be aware that each school has a lot of administrators pulling over six figure salaries. They also include principals, vice-principals and many office staff.
This way of doing business in these economic times must stop. Read a recent “My Turn” column from a county substitute teacher pointing out the physical condition of many of these schools.
Residents cannot keep having their taxes raised. Other counties in Wisconsin and around the country have consolidated, why not this one?
