Bradford, Tremper scoop up all-SEC football honors
This season, the Bradford football team enjoyed its first unbeaten conference title since 1959. As a result, the Red Devils were well represented when the All-Southeast Conference squad was announced.
Bradford junior quarterback Gino DeBartolo was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while Bradford coach Jed Kennedy was picked as the Coach of the Year.
Tremper senior lineman Zac Epping was honored as the Defensive Player of the Year.

Tremper also received the Team Sportsmanship Award.
Along with DeBartolo, Bradford’s high-powered offense had five other first-team selections — senior tight end Mitchell Ziegler, junior lineman Thailor Bauer, junior running back Melvin Gordon, senior running back Cody Brady and junior kicker John Stevens. DeBartolo and Gordon were the top vote-getters at their respective positions.
Epping was a repeat first-team selection on the offensive line and was the top vote-getter at that position. Other Trojans to receive first-team honors were senior lineman Anthony Celebre, senior running back Andrew Gray and senior wide receiver Scott Forchette.
A two-way first-team performer for the second year in a row, Epping was the top vote-getter at his position on the defensive side of the ball. Tremper senior Najee Parker was also a first-team pick up front.
Other first-team performers were Bradford junior David Sauceda and Tremper senior Andre Reyes at inside linebacker, Bradford junior Justin Otto and Tremper senior Cody Colbert at defensive back and Bradford senior Brad Slomkowski at outside linebacker/end. Sauceda, Otto and Slomkowski were all the top vote-getters at their respective positions.
In all, Bradford and Tremper occupied 17 of the 30 first-team spots (nine Bradford, eight Tremper).
