Perhaps all it took was a loss to bring out the best in the Tremper boys basketball team.
Three days after suffering its first defeat of the season, Tremper claimed one of its most lopsided victories in recent memory in steamrolling crosstown rival Bradford 76-46 in a Southeast Conference game Friday night at the Tremper Gymnasium.
The Trojans (5-1, 1-1) lost to Indian Trail 62-57 in overtime in Tuesday’s SEC opener.

Sitting at 0-2, the Bradford boys basketball team made sure its Southeast Conference slate started on a positive note Friday night.
Montenia Nelson had 17 of his team-high 23 points in the second half as the Red Devils built a seven-point lead in the third quarter and held off Franklin 57-54 in the SEC opener at the Bradford Fieldhouse.
