Carroll gets past Carthage in OT
Kendell Uttech scored at the 95 minute, 54 second mark of overtime to lead Carroll to a 2-1 non-conference victory over Carthage Wednesday at Art Keller Field.
The Reds (3-4) took a 1-0 lead on Debbie Kozlowski’s unassisted goal at 15:28.
Uttech tied it at 1-1 at 65:38 off an assist by Amanda Leach.
Carroll outshot Carthage 13-5 and won the corner kick battle 7-3.
Christina Chervenak made seven saves for Carthage, which will play its conference opener 2 p.m Saturday vs. Augustana at Art Keller Field.
Carthage men fallRobert Morris (Ill.) scored two second-half goals to defeat the Carthage men’s soccer team 2-0 in a non-conference game at Art Keller Field.
Monroe Bell scored in the 70th minute and Bart Dyczkowski scored in the 81st minute for Robert Morris (2-5).
Carthage (1-3-3) outshot Robert Morris 8-7, and both teams had seven corner kicks.
Aaron Drick made five saves for the Red Men, who will open their College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin schedule 1:30 p.m. Saturday vs. Augustana in Rock Island, Ill.
