St. Joseph gave up a goal in the 58th minute, but that was enough to suffer a 1-0 loss at North Chicago.

“There was no pressure from our defense,” St. Joseph coach Peter Iliev said. “The goalie was off-balance and the ball went just under the crossbar.

“It was not a good game for us. We gave them plenty of room to play.”

St. Joseph (5-7-0) returns to Midwest Classic Conference action Wednesday when it hosts Martin Luther at Anderson Park.
