Faus 18th in State Net Am golf
Kenosha’s Lawrence Faus shot a 3-over par 75 at Sunday’s first round of the WSGA State Net Amateur Championship at Lake Arrowhead Golf Club in Nekoosa.
Playing the Lakes Course, Faus had net nines of 36 and 39 and is tied for 18th in the 78-player field going into today’s final round, which will be played on Lake Arrowhead’s Pines Course.
Faus, who golfs out of Oakwood Park in Franklin, trails leader Scott Haskins of West Bend (6-under 66, 33-33) by nine shots. Haskins was one of five golfers to shoot sub-par rounds.
Kansasville’s Jean Mohrbacker fired a 78 (40-38) and is tied for 40th. She golfs out of Johnson Park Golf Club in Racine.
