The annual Kenosha News All-County football team has become a Thanksgiving tradition.

Halloween may be a more appropriate holiday for this year’s collection of talent.

After cruising through an undefeated regular season and advancing to the WIAA Division-1 quarterfinals, where it lost to eventual State champion Marquette, Bradford was honored with nine first-team selections — the most since Tremper had nine in 1996. Out of those nine Red Devils to receive top honors, six are juniors.

Now that’s bound to frighten any future Bradford opponent.

Tremper linemen Anthony Celebre and Zac Epping were the only repeat selections on the first team.

Epping and Bradford’s Mitchell Ziegler were named first-team All-State by both the WFCA and the Associated Press. Bradford’s Gino DeBartolo, Melvin Gordon and Brad Slomkowski also received All-State honors.
