Galati up by one in Junior City Open
Matt Galati, 17, shot a 73 Friday to take a one-shot lead over 13-year-old Jonathan Rimkus in the boys overall division of the Junior City Open at Washington Park Muni.
Four other players — Vic Aiello (76), Josh Galati (77), Matt Christensen (78) and Jim Joling (79) — also scored in the 70s, while Jake Humphreys and Luke Sinclair each shot 80.
Natalie Shatkins (102) and Lilly Torres (115) were the only girls entered in the tournament’s 43-player field.
The final round will include another 18 holes today at Muni starting at 8 a.m.
Matt Galati, Vic Aiello and Josh Galati will play in the final group and tee off at 9:22 a.m.
