JLJA takes Mixed tourney
The JLJA team retained its first-place standing by one pin in the Kenosha Mixed Team Tournament, which wrapped up Sunday at Surfside Bowl.
Andrew Lovely (812), Jim Capps (727), Jason Griffin (709) and Liz Gentile (684) teamed up for a winning score of 2,932 scratch with no handicap.
The series total and single-game score of 1,048 also qualify as a National Honor Score that is currently the second-highest in the country, according to Bowl.com.
The tourney, a handicapped mixed team format, was run by the Kenosha Men’s and Women’s Bowling Associations.
n Milestones: Robert Van Horn put together his first 600 series in the Vegas League at Surfside Bowl. He had games of 202, 232 and 211 for a 645.
Chris Rettmueller bowled her first 600 series in the Friday Vegas Choice League at the Guttormsen Recreation Center. She had games of 213, 190 and 198 for a 601.
