Junior City Open is Aug. 14-15 at Muni
The Junior City Open golf tournament is Aug. 14-15 at Washington Park “Muni” Gofl Course.
The 36-hole co-ed tournament costs $30 and the field will be closed at 104.
The tournament offers competition in boys 11-12, girls 11-12, boys 13-14, girls 13-14, boys 15-16, girls 15-16, boys 17-18 and girls 17-18.
Trophies will be awarded for first and second place in each age group with at least 10 participants.

The tournament is sponsored by the County Open and American Bottling (7-Up).
n Senior Open: The Men’s Senior County Open will be Aug. 19-20 at Spring Valley.The 36-hole stroke play tournament is open to all golfers who have reached the age of 50 by Aug. 19.
County residents, golf pros who work in the County and those who maintain a WSGA handicap in the County are eligible to enter. The tournament starts at 9:30 a.m. on both days.
The cost is $60 (Spring Valley members $35).
Flights are: Championship, 50-plus, 60-plus, 70-plus and 80-plus.

n Mixed Pairs: Spring Valley will host the Mixed Pairs Couple Tournament 10 a.m. Sept. 7.The tournament is open to golfers of all ages regardless of residence or handicap. Each two person team must consist of one male and one female.
The cost is $33 per golfer ($13 for Spring Valley members).
The deadline to enter is Aug. 31.
Holes 1-6 will be best ball, holes 7-12 will be alternate shot and holes 13-18 will be a scramble.

n Scramble: Washington Park “Muni” Golf Course will host a four-person scramble Saturday.The cost for the 18-hole event is $120 per four-person team.
There will be cash prizes, certificates and free food and drink.

n Smith 20th: Kenosha’s Riley Smith finished in 20th place in the boys 15-18 division at the recent Wisconsin PGA Junior Tour stop at Oakwood Park Golf Club in Franklin.Smith shot a 15-over 87 (45-42) in the 43-player division.
