MMQB: Bradford impresses long-distance fan
Kenosha native Mike Sigman, a high school football fan who traveled from Plano, Texas, to watch Bradford’s 35-6 victory over Tremper on Wednesday at Indian Trail Stadium, came away impressed.
Sigman’s trip to Kenosha was profiled in the Kenosha News on Oct. 20.
“The game was everything I had hoped for,” Sigman said in an e-mail to News sports writer Andrew Horschak. “The stadium is outstanding and the game and the atmosphere were straight out of any ‘Friday Night Lights’ game here in Texas.
“As for Bradford, they are the type of team that would be playing far into December here in Texas — meaning they are good enough to be a State title contender. I reluctantly say that hoping I don’t jinx them in their own playoff run. We both know anything can happen in a playoff game and great teams can get eliminated at any time.”
