Pacers primed for postseason
The state-ranked Shoreland Lutheran soccer team closed out the regular season with a convincing 5-0 non-conference victory over visiting Luther Prep on Saturday night.
Ranked No. 5 in Division-3 in the latest WSCA state poll, the Pacers improved to 15-5-4.
“Very much so,” Shoreland coach Dan Hahm said when asked if his team was ready for the postseason. “There are still a few things that we aren’t completely sharp on, but we’re ready.”
The Pacers took a 1-0 halftime lead on an unassisted goal by Trent Schwartz in the ninth minute. Schwartz had another unassisted goal in the 52nd minute to make it 2-0.
Mike Roekle (62nd), Steve Roekle (64th) and Dan White (74th) also scored goals. Joel Lazzaroni and Jordan Van Sant were credited with assists.
