Four tournament records recently fell in the 94th Kenosha United States Bowling Congress Tournament.

Ryan Yanel and Adam Jurgens combined to set a Division-1 Doubles scratch record of 1,581. Yanel bowled an 804 series on games of 268, 257 and 279, while Jurgens fired a 777 series (279-268-230).

Paul Byars and John Minotto established a new Division-2 Doubles scratch record of 1,382. Byars fired a 639 series on games of 246, 178 and 215, while Minotto posted a 743 series (277-263-203).

Stan Johnson set a Divison-2 All Events scratch record by bowling a 637 series in the team event, 697 series in doubles and 750 in singles. The 750 was also a Division-2 record.

Also in the tournament, Larry Willems bowled a perfect game en route to a 771 series, and Rich Beltoya rolled a 299 game to highlight a 795 series. Andrew Lovely also had a stepladder series of 771 on games of 256, 257 and 258.

Northern Lights rewrites record book

The Northern Lights women’s bowling team established new state and city records in the Ladies Lakeshore Classic League over the weekend at Sheridan Lanes.

Kelly Pobloski led the team with a 754 series and Sue Millhouse (747), Kris Cashmore (704) and Julie Kunath (674) also contributed to a 2,879 series, which is the second-highest four-person series in the state and the third-highest in the country, according to the United States Bowling Congress (www.bowl.com).

Millhouse also rolled a 299 game to lead the way in a record-setting state high game of 1,027. The 1,027 score also ranks fourth in the country.

The 2,879 series and 1,027 game are both city records.

In the same league, Laura Baumgarten rolled a 701 series on games of 215, 268 and 218. She bowls for Nu-Kutz.

Yanel perfect

For the second week in a row, Ryan Yanel bowled a perfect game in the Sunday A.M. League at Sheridan Lanes. He also had games of 225 and 233 for a 758 series.

The 700 club

Keri Logan put together a 713 series to lead the Mischief Makers League at Surfside Bowl. She had games of 245, 236 and 232.

Stacey Chike rolled a league-high 700 series in the Ladies Hi/Low League at Surfside. She had a 246 high game.

Strikes and Spares

Franz Accounting won the first-half championship in the Slo Starters League at Sheridan. Team members are Kristine Moon, Kathy Kubarth and Barb Franz. ... Danielle George, 10, bowled her first 400 series — a 409 — in the Big Guns League at Sheridan. She fired games of 148, 116 and 145 and averages 112.
