The Genoa City RedDogs outlasted the Genesee Rebels 17-11 to claim the Land O’ Lakes League Southwest Division title Tuesday night at Torstenson Field in Genoa City.

Genoa City secured the No. 1 seed with a 16-4 record and will host a playoff game 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Against Genesee, Genoa City (30-11) scored six in the sixth to take the lead for good in erasing an early 7-1 deficit. Chad Tindall’s two-run single and Tom Starck’s three-run home run highlighted the frame.

Taylor Dowden earned the win in relief. He gave up one run in 42/3 innings to improve to 7-4.
