Registration opens for News bowling
Entries are now being accepted for the 46th annual Kenosha News Match Game Bowling Tournament, which begins with qualifying Monday, May 4 at Surfside Bowl.
The tournament is open to Kenosha County residents. The deadline for entries is 8 p.m. Sunday, May 3.
The tourney offers five divisions — Men ($60 entry fee), Women ($60), Senior Men ($60, 50-and-over), Super Senior Men ($30, 62-and-over) and Senior Women ($30, 50-and-over).
Qualifying is May 4-8 with Men, Women and Senior Men bowling eight games across 16 lanes and Senior Women and Super Senior Men bowling six games. Bowlers who wish to bowl with friends should send their entries in together.
The finals will be May 10 and May 13 for Senior Men and Senior Women; May 11 and May 14 for Women and Super Senior Men; and May 12 and May 15 for Men.
The finals in the Men’s and Senior Men’s divisions will have 16 bowlers, while the finals in the Women’s division will have 12 bowlers. The number of finalists in the Senior Women and Super Senior Men’s divisions will be based on the number of entries.
A practice session, which costs $6, is Sunday, May 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
